Jumble Story

As she opened the door and stepped out in the dim sunlight left of the long hard humid summer day, her lungs were filled with old poluted air that the fire left behind. She took another step onto the old creeky farm house porch and it squeeked for every step she took on it. Her heart was broken as she looked out over the burned country hills, she cried to herself and felt a sickness deep down in her stomach coming. Was he alive? Where could he be? Was he save from the crazy raging forest fire?

There was just a huge forest fire that passed through one small little country village and a new young mother is home waiting for her 5 year old son to return from a walk to the river with his best friend. The fire was massive, the mother is setting on the front porch on her rocking chair waiting for her boy to return home. In all of the dust and smoke after hours of waiting upon the long winding hill the boy returns home safe and sound.

Trapping

They have been around for centuries and centuries, and have been a pest in my opinion. They make dams and flood highways, roads, and ruin property by cutting trees and flooding other trees and ground. If you havent guessed what this four legged creature is yet that romes the waters around us and destroys trees and roads and even highways its the beaver.

Beavers are everywheres in our society, it is legal to trap them and thats what i do in the fall when the fur harvesting season is open. Beavers are semi-aquatic mammals and they are the largest north American rodent. Mature males usually range from (40 to 60 lbs.) but some will weigh up to 100 or more. They have one littler in may or june and they usually have 4 to 6 pups in a litter.

Trapping in my point of view is ok. I can see how some people think its cruel and inhumane but really it isnt bad as it seems. With traps i have and use the kill is instant and the animal does not suffer, although some traps are different but most trappers do not use them and most of the cruel ones are illegal which is a good thing. I really see nothing wrong with trapping because the beaver population has really high numbers and they only ruin property. Some people are against trapping but those people dont know anything about it and mostly love animals but little do they know they ruin everything and there are alot of them around. I am a trapper and i am not cruel and wouldnt kill animals for no given reason but there are issues with the beavers.

Other animals that are trapped that i see there is no reason to trap other than money which i think is wrong is otters, muskrats, minks, martens, fishers and many more. I dont trap these animals because i see no reason to. People only trap them for money, i wouldnt trap them if i had absolutly no money because they are innocent animals and deserve to live. I dont care to kill coyotes or foxes because they take so many deer. In the winter months they can take the population of deer down drastically; the foxes take so many partridge and birds.

In conclusion trapping over all isnt as bad as everyone says it to be. It isnt cruel and no animals suffer like people say they do. The government is very strict on what goes on in trapping and the wardens are always checking people out and making sure all traps are legal and humane. Only the beavers are the ones i will trap and the coyotes and foxes but i only trap for reasons because i dont kill for no reasons.

Luv 2 Txt - Brainstorming

The name of my article is "Luv 2 txt" and it is on the site teenink.com. The author of the story is Christina C. from Hopdale, MA. The opening paragraph in the story is all about texing itself, the setting is in a class room in the middle of a very boring class. It has a girl in the class room slowly sneaking in her backpack to get her phone to text her mom to tell her soccer practise is canceled. She says she slowly texts "sccer canceled! pick^ @2 thx <3",>

The opening paragraph did catch my attention in many ways because i text alot but not to much in school because all of my friends I text are with me. The main reason that it caught my attention is because I seen myself in these situations before trying to send that quick message in class even though we arent supposed to, while trying not to get caught by the teacher.

This article consists of 6 paragraphs, all of the paragraphs relate to the thesis some how. The writer connects the thesis to these paragraphs in different ways. This story is based on the writers personal experienses and he dosent refer to any resourses.

The author explains many sides to the arguement, one is hers where she thinks its great to text and loves it. But she also mentions how she just missed 2 minutes of her teachers lecture and she is ruining her vocabulary as many parents say as well as teachers. The writer also has a good pont from her side of view as well. The writer says how easy it is to just text and only take one minute where she could have gotten up and went to call and taken like at least 5 minutes.

The conclusion was very effective, it said how texting ruined vocabuary and for the ending she said "so before you hit send think about what you have just written, and maybe reconsider". Over all this article was very affective and it had a good perpose.

Fatkat Animations

Before i seen the video clips today on the FatKat animations i barely ever heard tell of the company at all. This is a very big corporation from what i could see and does alot of animations for many big companies. I didnt know they animated for teletoon and Walt Disney Studios and i never even knew they did video clips.
The FatKat blog was very amusing, it had a good layout and it had lots of pictures and videos. Each video was easy to play and were good and it had many other links. I thought the blog was really well presented and made FatKat look good.
Question 1: Did you ever make a TV show that actually was played on TV?
Question 2: What other companies did you work for that were famous?

Video Review

In this short clip it shows you how to present your fishing fly to the salmon. It also shows someone casting the line properly to catch the fish and it shows you what to do when the fish strikes. When the fish takes the hook under, wait for a second so its in his mouth securly and then tighten up your line quickly to make sure the salmon is hooked good. I would like to have my video exactly the way this one is only i will be showing further details on hooks and casting the line.

The Five Basic Steps to tie a Hair Wing Salmon Fly

1. The first step to tie a hair wing salmon fly is to make a butt. First I usually put a small silver tip with silver tinsel and then what ever color butt I want is put on. There are several different colors to use.

2. After the butt is complete I have to do the body, I cut a piece of tinsel and tie it on the bare hook and then a piece of black yarn with it. I wrap the yarn to the eye of the hook and tie it off.

3. Then I go back to the silver tinsel that’s tied on, and I neatly wrap it over the black yarn in even spaces so it looks good.

4. Once the body and butt are complete I move on to the hair. I have many different qualities of hair and many different colors and it all has an effect on fishing. I cut off a piece to suit the size of the hook and wrap it on with my thread over and over to secure it on good.

5. Once the hair is placed on the fly is done accept for the finishing touch of cement. I usually use black cement but again there is many colors to choose from; I apply it at the front of the fly in front of the hair. The purpose of the cement is to keep the fly from not falling apart. I put it on the thread so it hardens and then it’s ready for action

My walk through the neighboorhood

One beautiful Saturday morning as I woke up and got myself out of bed, I looked out the window and seen many people outside doing chores in there yard. There were always many interesting things to do on a nice day like this one, so I decided to get dressed and go out outside for the afternoon and see what I could do.

As soon as I stepped outside I walked up to an old garbage can and in it I found a little lost puppy, so in amazement I suddenly took my little friend out of that old stinky garbage can and named him Stevie. He walked along with me so I decided to bring him on my journey through the neighborhood.

This little puppy wanted to go everywhere so I followed him all around, first he went into this little shack where we found many old objects that I think belonged to natives and were all carved out of wood and stone so I took myself and Stevie out of there before we got caught.

After this we walked alone the side walk and I quickly decided to show my pals my new puppy Stevie, I walked to his house and then I seen a bunch of my friends all on the street playing so I quickly walked over and they seen my little pup.

Later on we took a journey through the thick forest and I said to Stevie we might get lost so we then got back on the street, jumped a fence and seen a old farmers house. The farmer said to “leave now and take that old dog with you”, so quickly we hurried away and jumped the fence again. Then I decide to go and show my neighbor Johnny my new dog, but he was busy mowing his lawn. Then I made my way to my house and walked over Johnny’s fence and tied my dog and put him in his new dog house. Then my little brothers asked me what happened and I had no time to talk to them, I ran to the house to beg my mom to let me keep my friend I found. After enough begging she finally said sure you can keep him!

Allan Carter
Blackville Talon

Dear Mr. Carter

I have interest in applying for a position for the ‘Blackville Talon’, in the sports section. I have interest in sports especially because I am in sports myself and have experience in many. I would be very interested in writing about sports for the school.
I am involved in sports and may be perfect for the job. I go to many of the schools sports games and activities, and would like to be apart of the talon.
· I would be interested in taking photos of the game action, and then explaining the picture.
· I could also do a write up on what happened throughout the game and the highlights and action.
With excellent work ethics and communications skills, I have the abilities to work alone as well as partner work. I am positioned to exceed your expectations. I would like to meet with you to discuss further detail, thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Colby Donovan

The Dream Class

"Freedom Writers", starring Hilary Swank, Scott Glenn, Imelda Staunton and Patrick Dempsey it is a 2007 American film. The film is directed by Richard LaGravenese and produced by Danny DeVito, Michael Shamberg, Stacey Sher. This movie is great in my opinion.

This film is about a young new excited schoolteacher who leaves her hometown, Newport Beach, to teach at Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, where a new program has implemented where students of all backgrounds and races are put in classes together. The new teacher known as Mr.G has alot of struggles at the first of the semester, all of the children have no interest in learning and they want to fight with each other. With no help from anyone from the school for books, Mrs.G works three jobs to buy new books for all the students. She plays games with the students and she gets everyone all working together, and everyone likes everyone in the end!

I really enjoyed this film, i like the real life situations like this one. I would sooner see this film rather than anyother horor film because this is a true story. It relates to other films that i have seen in the past but this one was more catchy because it had real life situations and told how some teenagers live day to day.

The time and setting of the film was the part that stood out the most in my view. The setting of the classroom and the outside world of the students lives was excellent especially the home of the people and the scenes on the streets. All of the sudents in the film played a excellent job playing thier roles, and Mrs.G was a fantastic teacher!

My Dream Machine

While I was passing by the dealership one fine day with my father, this sharp looking four-wheeler suddenly caught my attention. It was the nicest machine that I have ever laid my eyes on. As I stepped in the shop I suddenly made my way toward the machine. It was a bright red with a nice wax shine; it had huge ITP chrome rims with white letter radial mud tires.
While I was in the showroom I smelled the new plastic and the new rubber tires as well. It was the smell of a new car, or a car dealership. I wanted to own this machine right away! I wanted this more than anything else in the world. This four-wheeler looked like it would fly. It would be so fast and would wade mud for ever.
While I was looking at it, I could not help but over hear a conversation between a salesman and a owner of a bike the same kind. The man was saying how his four-wheeler was totally amazing! He said this bike would take any other bike around in a race and he won all the mud bogging contests around. He was bragging the machine to everyone and as I looked out the window it was on the back of the truck covered in water and coated with mud, and it looked even better!
In all of this big daze I felt my dad tap my shoulder and say lets go, he also said that when I grow big enough to handle the huge machine it's all mine.
